COVID-19 Services to the Built Community

There are sure signs that, slowly but surely, the country and Illinois will be returning to normal after the number of COVID-19 cases begins to fall and testing becomes more available. What remains unsure is what exactly the new normal will look like. It seems likely that, until a vaccine for this virus is widely available, that new normal will include social distancing, the use of face masks for most and respirators for others, as well as routine cleaning and disinfection of services.

As we have been doing since the beginning of the COVIS-19 pandemic, Carnow Conibear is here to help facility managers, transportation operators, education providers, and governmental agencies by providing a broad range of programmatic and testing services to provide assurance to the affected community. Carnow Conibear’s staff of experienced industrial hygienists, safety professionals, and Board-certified Occupation Health physicians can provide a broad range of services to help you respond to the pandemic.
Carnow Conibear can assist with the development of written COVID-19 Infection Prevention and Response Program that address the following:

• Employee Protection/Office Areas
• Enhanced Facility Cleaning and Disinfection
• Exposure Event Response
• Return to Work Decision Making
Carnow Conibear can also assist with your cleaning protocols. Whether it is developing a cleaning protocol, reviewing protocols submitted by cleaning contractors, providing oversight of the cleaning to ensure compliance with the protocols, or conducting cleaning and disinfection verification using surface sampling and RT-PCR testing, and the peace of mind that brings, we have staff experienced in these areas to assist you.
Carnow Conibear can also provide exposure testing for those that are conducting the cleaning and disinfection work to the various chemicals that they may be using.
We can also provide guidance related to building readiness and reopening, especially with regard to HVAC operations and their potential impact on the spread of the SAR-CoV-2 virus.
All of these services will be directed and supervised by Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and Certified Safety Professionals (CSP) and conducted in accordance with guidance provided by the following organizations:
• World Health Organization (WHO)
• Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
• American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA)
• American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE)
• Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH)
• City of Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH)
At Carnow Conibear, safety is one of our Core Values and the foundation of our mission statement. As we all navigate the new normal together, let us help you to develop best practices for your reopening journey.
