OSHA Holds Meeting of the NACOSH about the Safety of Temporary Workers

June 12, 2013- The Occupational Safety and Health Administration held a meeting of the National Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health (NACOSH) on June 11 in Washington, D.C. The meeting focused on the occupational safety and health issues that temporary workers face, with a period of discussion during the meeting.

NACOSH was established in 1970 to advise the secretaries of labor and health and human services on occupational safety and health programs and policies.

The agenda included remarks from Dr. David Michaels, assistant secretary of labor for occupational safety and health, and Dr. John Howard, director, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health and public comments.

NACOSH meetings are open to the public. Individuals may submit comments and requests to speak at Regulations.gov.
