Mold Exposure in University of Louisville Residence Hall

October 17, 2012 - At the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky high levels of mold were found in one of their residences halls; forcing 270 students out of their dorm rooms. The residence halls were closed Wednesday the 10th and students were allowed back in this past Sunday.

The University inspections found high levels of two types of mold spores, aspergillus and penicillium. These spores do not usually present a threat, but could affect students with allergies, asthmas and upper respiratory problems.
