It's A Fair Question: Who's the Greenest of Them All?

July 22, 2013- The retail sector is seeing greener pastures — at least in terms of consumer perceptions when asked which products and companies are top-of-mind when it comes to being "green."

About.com reports on the recent ImagePower Global Green Brand Survey, conducted by consultants Cohn & Wolfe, Landor Associates, and Pen, Schoen & Berland Associates, which found that "six of the top ten green brands in the U.S. are major retail chains or companies with retailing as a significant part of their business, based on consumer opinion and perceptions."

The best retail global green brands for 2013 are as follows, ranked in order as compared to all industries that were named most often by consumers as "being the best at being green": Toyota, Ford, Honda, Nissan, Volkswagen, Dell, SONY, BMW, Adidas, Samsung, Mercedes-Benz, Apple, Nike, IKEA, Microsoft, Starbucks, Kia, Shell, Avon, H&M, McDonalds and Zara.
